In its most primary form, a fishing net connects its two points of anchorage. Originally used in Southern countries, it was a support designed to sit or lie above the ground, in order to avoid being invaded by insects.\u00a0Inspired by life on the coast of Sihanoukville, Hamaca\u2019s versatility accompanies both work and play.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

This series was designed with the goal to invite people to reconsider their doorsteps. By creating a framework for new experiments, it attempts to make them more sociable.\u00a0Too private to be more than a place of passage and too public to be considered by its inhabitants, the area surrounding our entrance doors can nevertheless be stage where individual and collective spaces meet.\u00a0In many cultures this frontier brings together these two worlds. Whether it is to work, to relax or to meet new people, doorsteps are living spaces open to the outside.\u00a0Each piece evokes uses and habits encountered on the doorsteps of a different cultures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
